NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
AXA Equitable Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today that AXA
S.A., as selling stockholder (“AXA”), successfully completed a secondary
public offering of 40,000,000 shares1 (the “Offering”) of the
Company’s common stock, at a public offering price of $20.50 per share,
and the sale to the Company of 30,000,000 shares (the “Share Buyback”)
of the Company’s common stock at the per share price paid by the
underwriters in the Offering. In addition, the underwriters exercised in
full their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 6,000,000
shares of the Company’s common stock.
The Company did not receive any proceeds from the Offering. Following
the Offering and the Share Buyback, AXA’s ownership in the Company
decreased from 60.1% to 48.3%. As a result of the Offering and Share
Buyback, the Company is no longer a controlled company.
